Quick Invoice — Privacy Policy
How the Quick Invoice mobile app handles your information.
About this policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
This policy covers the Quick Invoice mobile app published by Fintaxtech Ltd. It is separate from the privacy policy for the Fintaxtech website and services, which governs our website and client work.
Quick Invoice is built to work without an account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no server of ours holding your documents.
Your invoices, receipts and client details never leave your device. They are stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. We cannot see them, and we have no way to retrieve them.
Who we are
Fintaxtech Ltd is the data controller for the limited personal data described in this policy.

What stays on your device
The following is created and stored entirely on your phone. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else:
- Invoices and receipts, including line items, quantities, prices, tax, discounts and notes
- Client records — names, email addresses, phone numbers and postal addresses
- Your business profile — business name, logo, currency, tax label and rate, numbering prefixes and payment terms
- Any PDF you generate, and any backup file you export
- App settings, including your appearance and privacy choices
If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted with it. Because we never receive a copy, we cannot restore it for you — please keep your own backup using Settings → Export all data.
What does leave your device
Three services process a small amount of data so that purchases work and — only if you allow it — so that we can fix crashes and understand which features get used.
| Service | What it receives | Why | Your control |
|---|---|---|---|
| RevenueCat, Inc. | An anonymous app-generated identifier, and your subscription or purchase status. No name, email or document content. | To know whether you have Quick Invoice Pro, and to restore purchases on a new device. | Always active. The app cannot sell or restore a subscription without it. |
| Google Play Billing | Your payment details, handled entirely by Google. They never pass through the app. | To take payment for a subscription or lifetime purchase. | Only used when you choose to buy. |
| Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) |
Anonymous usage events — for example that an invoice was created, without any of its content — plus crash reports containing the technical fault, your device model, OS version and app version. | To fix crashes and see which features are used. | Off unless you turn it on. Nothing is sent until you opt in, and you can withdraw at any time. |
Analytics and crash reporting are opt-in
When you first set up the app you are asked whether you are willing to share anonymous usage and crash data. The default is no. Until you actively choose to share it, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collect and transmit nothing at all.
You can change your mind whenever you like in Settings → Share anonymous usage data. Turning it off stops collection immediately.
These events are designed so that they cannot carry your content. An event records that an invoice was created and how many line items it had — never the client, the amounts, or anything you typed.
Quick Invoice does not collect an advertising identifier, does not show adverts, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Permissions the app asks for
| Permission | When | What happens to the data |
|---|---|---|
| Contacts | Only when you tap “Import from contacts”. | The details of the one contact you pick are copied into a client record on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and your address book is not read otherwise. You can decline and still add clients by hand. |
| Photos | Only when you choose a business logo. | Handled by the Android system photo picker, so the app never gains access to your photo library. The one image you select is copied into the app's private storage. |
| Internet | On launch and when purchasing. | Used for the services in the table above. Creating, editing and exporting documents all work fully offline. |
Legal basis for processing
Under the UK GDPR we rely on:
- Performance of a contract — for purchase and subscription data. Without it we could not provide or restore Quick Invoice Pro.
- Consent — for analytics and crash reporting. You give it freely, and you may withdraw it at any time in Settings without losing any app functionality.
How long data is kept
- On your device: until you delete it. Nothing expires or is removed automatically.
- Purchase records: retained by RevenueCat and Google for as long as needed to support your subscription and to meet their own legal and accounting obligations, in line with their retention schedules.
- Analytics and crash data: retained by Google Firebase according to the retention period configured for the project, and deleted when that period expires.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Because Quick Invoice has no accounts, the two rights that matter most are built directly into the app and need no request to us:
- Portability — Settings → Export all data produces a readable JSON file containing everything the app holds, which you can save or send wherever you like.
- Erasure — Settings → Delete all data permanently removes every invoice, receipt, client and setting from the device. This cannot be undone, and it does not cancel a subscription — see below.
For anything that involves data held by us or our processors — including a request relating to your purchase record — contact ask@fintaxtech.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
Managing or cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Google Play, not by us. Deleting the app or its data does not cancel a subscription. Use Settings → Manage subscription in the app, or your Google Play account, to cancel.
Cookies
The Quick Invoice app does not use cookies. If you visit this website, the website cookie policy applies instead.
Children
Quick Invoice is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
International transfers
RevenueCat and Google are based in the United States and may process data outside the UK. Both provide safeguards for international transfers under UK data protection law, including standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data we will update this page and revise the date at the top. A material change — for example enabling a new service that transmits data — will also be surfaced in the app before it takes effect.
Complaints
Please contact us first at ask@fintaxtech.co.uk so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the UK supervisory authority:
